Protocol, Methods and Materials for Sodium Bisulfite Treatment of DNA for Analysis of Methyl-Cytosines and CpG Islands within DNA. Initially the DNA is treated with agents to change methyl-cytosine into uracil. After, the DNA is simply sequenced and the uracils found within the sequence identify methylated cytosines.
